Percentile rankings

Where a player or team ranks against everyone else qualified in the same format.

Percentile
The share of qualified players a value beats, 1 (poor) to 99 (elite). A 90th-percentile strike rate is higher than 90% of the qualified field in that format. Direction is normalised so higher is always better — a low economy shows as a high percentile.
Qualified
The minimum sample a player must clear to be ranked: 100 balls faced for batting, 120 bowled for bowling. Below it, a metric shows as unrankable rather than being compared on noise.

Batting

Batting average(Avg)
Runs scored divided by dismissals. A batter never dismissed shows an em dash, not an infinite average.
Strike rate(SR)
Runs scored per 100 balls faced.
Boundary %
Share of balls faced hit for four or six.
Dot-ball %
Share of balls faced that yielded no run. Lower is better for a batter, so it ranks inverted.
Highest score(HS)
Best individual score in a single innings; a * denotes not out.

Bowling

Economy rate(Econ)
Runs conceded per over.
Bowling average(Avg)
Runs conceded divided by wickets taken. Lower is better.
Bowling strike rate(SR)
Balls bowled per wicket. Lower is better.
Best figures
Most wickets in an innings, then fewest runs conceded — written wickets/runs.

Expected stats

Output measured against what the situation tends to yield — cricket's expected stats.

Expected runs(xRuns)
For each (format, over) bucket, the league-average runs a ball yields. A batter's expected runs is the sum of those averages over the exact balls they faced.
Expected wickets(xWickets)
The league-average probability a ball takes a bowler-credited wicket, summed over the deliveries a bowler bowled.
Runs Above Expected(RAE)
A batter's actual runs minus their expected runs. Positive means they beat the situations they faced.
Runs Saved
The runs an average bowler would have conceded on those deliveries, minus what this bowler actually conceded off the bat.
Wickets Above Expected(WAE)
Wickets taken minus the wickets the baseline says those deliveries should have produced.

Phases & matchups

Splits used across the visualizations and the delivery-search tool.

Powerplay
Overs 1–6 of an innings, when fielding restrictions are tightest.
Middle overs
Overs 7–15.
Death overs
Overs 16 onward, the closing acceleration.
Pace / spin
A bowler's type inferred from their recorded bowling style. Balls by bowlers with no recorded type are excluded from those splits.
Rolling strike rate
A batter's strike rate over a moving window of recent innings — the shape of their form over time.

Team

Team-level rates, ranked against every qualified team in the format.

Scoring rate
Runs scored per over with the bat.
Runs per wicket
Runs scored for each wicket lost — team batting durability.
Win percentage
Share of completed matches a team won, over a minimum number played.
