Legal and attribution
Where the data and images here come from, and the credit their licences require.
Match data
Live scores, fixtures, scorecards and ball-by-ball data come from a licensed commercial provider under a subscription that permits this use. Provider identifiers are never used as identifiers on this site.
Historical ball-by-ball data is imported from Cricsheet, used under its published licence with attribution. The credit is recorded on every imported match as well as here.
Photographs and crests
Venue photographs come from Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons. Only freely licensed images are used — Creative Commons or public domain. The photographer, the licence and the source article are recorded with each image and shown on the venue’s own page, as those licences require. Images offered there under fair-use terms are not reused, because that permission does not extend to this site.
Player headshots and team crests come from the data provider where the subscription covers them. Where no licensed image exists, an original monogram is drawn from the team’s or player’s own initials rather than an unlicensed logo or photograph.
Derived statistics
Averages, strike rates, run rates and records are computed from ball-by-ball data rather than copied from anyone. Ratings and any probability estimates are CricChase’s own and are not official. When a source is corrected, every figure derived from it is recomputed.
Trademarks
Team, competition and tournament names are the trademarks of their respective owners and are used descriptively to identify the cricket being reported. CricChase is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any board, league or team.
