Privacy
What this site stores, what it deliberately does not, and how to change your choices.
Your choices
Nothing beyond what is strictly necessary runs until you allow it. You can change this at any time — including now:
What is stored without consent
Only what the site cannot function without:
- Your privacy choices themselves, so you are not asked repeatedly.
- Your theme preference, if you set one.
- Standard server request logs, used to keep the site running and to investigate abuse.
None of this is used to build a profile of you, and none of it is sold or shared for advertising.
Analytics
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 records which pages are read so we know what to improve. IP addresses are anonymised. The tag is not loaded at all until you consent — loading it and then telling Google to ignore you still contacts Google, which is not what declining should mean.
Advertising
If you allow advertising, Google AdSense serves advertisements and may set cookies to measure and limit how often you see them. Declining advertising does not remove the site, and does not degrade any feature.
Advertising cookies are separate from personalisation. You can allow advertising without allowing personalised advertising.
Accounts
An account is optional and is never required to read scores, scorecards or statistics. If you create one, the site stores your identifier, email address, display name and the preferences you set — followed teams and players, time zone, theme and alert settings.
Alerts are strictly opt in. Creating an account does not subscribe you to anything.
Forms
If you send a correction or use the contact form, the site stores what you submit, including any contact details you provide, so it can be reviewed and answered. Forms are protected against automated abuse; that check sees the request but does not track you across the web.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete the data held about you, and to object to particular processing. Contact support@cricchase.com and the request will be handled.
Children
This site is a general-audience cricket site and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
This is a template, not legal advice. It describes what this software actually does, which is the useful starting point for a lawyer, but it has not been reviewed by one and must be before launch. Requirements vary by jurisdiction and by which third-party services are enabled.
